Egregious Disrespect of Constitution Requires Your Support in NH

Update on NH Status . . .

The Federal government has gone far enough. We need to draw a line in the sand. If there is further egregious, serious disrespect of the US Constitution by the Federal government, then New Hampshire must reclaim its sovereignty.

HCR6 came out of committee with a surprise "Inexpedient to Legislate" recommendation.

For those that remember it, this is a replay of the resistance against the bills to get NH out of Real-ID. This is unacceptable. Fortunately, we have a playbook. We know what it takes to move this forward: MASSIVE PUBLIC SUPPORT!

New Hampshire Warns Federal Government of civil war!

I have had the discussion about a future ‘rebellion’ many times with many folks. Our own editor here at American Daily Review John Barnhart and I routinely discuss the possibility, likelihood etc of an actual uprising. Often many folks disregard such speculation or talk. I am telling you it is not only ‘possible’ it is becoming increasingly likely and increasingly needed!

We here in New Hampshire have fired the first shot across the bow of the federal government by introducing A RESOLUTION affirming States’ rights based on Jeffersonian principles.

If the only way to reel in the federal government or put an end to their destruction of our nation is ‘force’, then force is exactly what me must use!

I got to Stratham, NH about 9:30 in the morning and met Eric Maurer, Field Director in Rockingham County as well as Let's Get This Right and McCainVictory08.com members Ashley, Ray and Connor. We spent an hour making phone calls and then hit the road to Exeter for some door belling for McCain-Palin, John Sununu and Jeb Bradley.

McCain-Palin Events/Poll Update

I wanted to report to you that the McCain/Palin campaign is having a great week in Manchester and across New Hampshire. On Wednesday, thousands of New Hampshire voters came to St. Anselm’s College to hear Senator McCain speak. Even better, Rasmussen just released a poll that shows us within the margin of error in the state of New Hampshire! Bradley Defeats Stephen In 1st District Race

Win Sets Up Rematch With Shea-Porter

See Complete ResultsThe race was close throughout the night, and with 79 percent of precincts reporting, Bradley led Stephen 51 to 46 percent. Stephen conceded the race at about 10:40 p.m.

Bradley will now have a rematch with Democratic U.S. Rep. Carol Shea-Porter. He lost his congressional seat to Shea-Porter in 2006, but he said he will better represent New Hampshire."I stand for the values that New Hampshire believes," Bradley said. "We're not a state that believes in the largest tax increase in the nation's history, especially at a time that the economy's struggling.Bradley said his top priority will be energy policy.Stephen conceded the race before news organizations had called it."I wish that I had the chance to make this race a contrast between myself and Carol Shea-Porter, but it was not meant to be. I'm so proud of the race we ran," Stephen told supporters in Manchester.

He called Bradley and wished him luck.The campaign between the two was heated, with Bradley and Stephen exchanging negative television ads. Stephen accused Bradley of running from his record in Congress and called him a major part of increased federal spending.Bradley accused Stephen of mismanaging DHHS and instituting policies that led to increased property taxes.Both accused the other of running misleading or erroneous ads.

Rounding out the primary field were David Jarvis, 39, of Hooksett, and Geoff Michael, 56, of Merrimack. Shea-Porter 55, of Rochester, narrowly upset Bradley in 2006 during a national flood of anti-war, anti-Republican sentiment. Libertarian Robert Kingsbury of Laconia will also be on the November ballot. Jerry Boucher, a 58-year-old software engineer from Manchester, voted for Bradley. "I think he was good when he was in Congress," he said.

But others picked Stephen as a fresh face who will help change Congress. Connie Elliott, 60, a child care director in Manchester, was one. "He seems to have a level head in thinking about middle-to-lower class people who are working hard and trying to save," she said. Bradley, who spent 12 years in the state Legislature before winning the congressional seat, was criticized by Stephen for voting against proposals to open the Alaska wildlife refuge to oil drilling.

Bradley said times have changed and he now supports the drilling. Stephen has been criticized by county officials for shortchanging nursing homes, leaving property taxpayers to pick up the state-required payments. Obama Cancels Visit with Wounded Troops Because of No Media Coverage

The Wall Street Journal Reports...

The Obama camp said they canceled the event after the Pentagon ruled it was a campaign event, and needed to be funded from the senator’s election kitty.

“Senator Obama did not want to have a trip to see our wounded warriors perceived as a campaign event when his visit was to show his appreciation for our troops and decided instead not to go,” Obama advisor, retired Gen. Scott Gration, said in a statement.

How about visiting the troops without the media tagging along, then it wouldn't look like a campaign event. Senator Obama is spending $5 on advertising during the Olympics, but won't visit wounded soldiers on his campaign's dime? Apparently, it's more important for him to have the media take pictures of him at the Ritz Carlton gym lifting weights, than to take a moment leave the press behind and talk to the people who defend this country.

NH GOP Fills Senate Slate

CONCORD – The New Hampshire Republican Party filed a candidate for State Senate District 24 this afternoon, meaning the party will contest all 24 New Hampshire Senate districts.

Christian Callahan, a Portsmouth businessman, filed to run against incumbent senator Martha Fuller-Clark. Callahan’s candidacy means that no Democratic candidate is left unopposed this election cycle.

In the state House of Representatives, New Hampshire Republicans are fielding a total of 364 candidates covering 324 seats.

“I am confident we have more than the number of candidates we need running in winnable districts to restore a Republican majority in one if not both houses of the legislature,” said Fergus Cullen, chairman of the New Hampshire Republican Party.

“I think it’s fair to say that our candidate recruitment efforts exceeded expectations. We have more candidates, and better quality candidates, than many observers predicted we would have. This is a sign that the Republican Party is regaining strength, energy, and optimism heading into election season,” Cullen said.

There will be Republican primaries in three state senate districts (2, 3, and 7) and in many state house districts.

“Unlike the Democrats, who quashed primaries, Republicans believe competition yields stronger, hungrier candidates more likely to win general elections. We let the voters choose, not party bosses,” Cullen said.
