The aftermath of the debate is in. Bob McDonnell has taken a 14 point lead in a Democratic poll. It is even a little worse in the public poll. Deeds can still turn it around so Republicans can't get over confident. Nonetheless it is powerful that McDonnell is over 50% in every post debate poll. Add to this that the National generic ballot favors the GOP by its highest level in years, and it could be a very good off year for the party pronounced dead less than a year ago. Most importantly, the Republicans will win Booth's seat according to a poll. I asked three people. (I saw smiles, don't deny it.)
The Democrats are not any better off in NJ. There is talk about Democrats pulling a Torricelli and trying for an October surprise. More on that Friday.
